Best Time for a Kenya and Tanzania Safari

A Kenya and Tanzania safari can be enjoyed throughout the year, with each season offering different wildlife experiences.

January to March: This is an excellent period for visiting the southern Serengeti during the wildebeest calving season. Predators are particularly active, creating exciting wildlife photography opportunities.

April to May: The green season transforms the landscapes of Kenya and Tanzania into beautiful scenery. This period can offer fewer visitors and attractive accommodation rates.

June to October: These months are particularly popular for a Kenya and Tanzania wildlife safari. The Great Wildebeest Migration moves through the Serengeti towards the northern Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystem.

November to December: The short rainy season brings fresh grazing and seasonal wildlife movements across the Serengeti ecosystem.
