Fly to the Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive
Welcome to Kenya — Jambo na Karibu!
Your Masai Mara adventure begins with a warm welcome from the Afrikan Accent Adventures team at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. You will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara, departing at approximately 9:30–10:00 AM and arriving at Serena Airstrip around 10:30–11:00 AM.
On arrival, your safari guide will meet you and transfer you to Mara Serena Safari Lodge, located within the Masai Mara National Reserve. Settle into your room, enjoy lunch and take some time to relax while taking in the sweeping views of the Mara landscape.
At approximately 4:00 PM, head out on your first afternoon game drive. With a maximum of six guests per vehicle, you’ll explore the savannah in search of the Mara’s famous wildlife, from large herds of plains game to its iconic predators.
Return to Mara Serena as the sun sets over the reserve, marking the beginning of an unforgettable safari.

Enjoy a relaxed final morning in the Masai Mara, beginning with a memorable Hippo Pool breakfast surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi, departing at approximately 11:00–11:30 AM and arriving at Wilson Airport around 12:15–12:30 PM.
On arrival, your Afrikan Accent Adventures representative will welcome you and transfer you to The Carnivore Restaurant, one of Nairobi’s most iconic dining destinations. Enjoy a memorable lunch featuring its renowned meat and Kenyan-inspired dining experience — the perfect culinary finale to your safari.
After lunch, we’ll transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. For international departures, we recommend allowing at least three hours before your flight.

The standard package uses a shared 4x4 safari vehicle with a maximum of six guests. A private vehicle can be arranged at an additional cost for travellers who prefer complete flexibility and exclusivity.
How long is the flight from Nairobi to the Masai Mara?
The scheduled flight takes approximately 45–60 minutes.
Does the safari include a hot air balloon ride?
The hot air balloon safari is an optional extra and is not included in the standard package.
Can I extend the safari?
Yes. You can add extra nights in the Masai Mara or combine this safari with destinations such as Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, Ol Pejeta, Samburu or Diani Beach.
Can I be picked up from my Nairobi hotel?
Yes. Nairobi hotel pick-up and transfer to Wilson Airport can be arranged as part of the package.
What should I pack for the 3-Day Masai Mara Fly-In Safari?
Pack light, as luggage allowance on scheduled safari flights is usually limited. We recommend a soft-sided travel bag rather than a hard suitcase, with lightweight neutral-coloured clothing, a warm fleece or jacket for cool mornings, comfortable shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, camera, personal medication and toiletries. A small daypack is also useful for game drives.
Is the 3-Day Masai Mara Fly-In Safari suitable for children?
Yes, this safari can be enjoyed by families with children. The short flight, comfortable stay at Mara Serena Safari Lodge, and exciting wildlife experiences make it a convenient family safari.
