Karibu! On arrival you are met by your safari specialist and travel on to Nairobi. Kenya’s vibrant capital is the only city on earth with a national park on its doorstep — black rhino against a skyline backdrop — plus the famous elephant orphanage and Giraffe Centre.

Today you journey on to Samburu. Rugged, remote and richly rewarding, Samburu is home to the “Special Five” — reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and the vulturine guineafowl — found nowhere else on the classic circuit, along the palm-fringed Ewaso Ng’iro river.
